Mission Statement:

The Mission of the MACS Art Department focuses on promoting and understanding the visual arts K-12.

The art program provides opportunities of creative exploration in a variety of media with the primary focus for the students to be able to appreciate, create and value art. The visual arts allows MACS students the opportunity to develop problem solving and critical thinking skills, as well as to promote self expression and develop self esteem.  As visual art educators our mission is to provide our students with a positive work environment, inspire them to take pride in their work, to create an understanding and appreciation of the arts, with the purpose to inspire lifelong learners.
