GAPP Exchange Students Present at Middle School
Several German American Partnership Program (GAPP) exchange students spent time at Mexico Middle School giving presentations on Friday, October 12. The 24 German exchange students are divided into two groups and each group spends two days at the middle school and two days at the high school giving presentations to the American students. According to Mexico Middle School German Teacher Mona Goble, the presentations are focused on German culture and included such topics as: their home city of Schneverdingen, clothes, music, hobbies, transportation, government, politics, environment (including recycling and alternative energies), school and daily life in Germany. The exchange students are prepared to speak in both German and English to the American students. Some of the exchange students will also visited the elementary schools in the district to give presentations to the younger children.
